2019 VGO a Great Success

The 2019 VGO finished in a flurry with the darkness threatening we were faced with a playoff as eventual winner Adam Burdett canned a 25 foot putt to tie with club house leader Michael Wright

The playoff saw Adam Burdett prevail to take the winners cheque whilst long time supporter of the event Micheal Wright despite shooting a great final round of 64 had to settle for runner up

In the amateur ranks a familiar name, Daniel McLeish, who grew up in Vanuatu bobbed up in the early rounds as a contender and after the third round he found himself 9 shots a head of the "Tusker Man" Tim Coffey

In the final round Coffey made up 5 shots in the front 9 so the 2nd 9 shaped up as a real battle

Coffey got on a bogey run and McLeish held his nerve to run out a 12 shot winner.

The ladies A grade developed into a predictable struggle between locals Rosa Yoon and Ata Mansale

Rosa shot 4 rounds under 80 and her consistency paid off and resulted in Rosa winning by 11 shots.

The event saw a large number of groups attending and we thank the organisers of these groups and look forward to having them back in 2020

2020 dates will be released we hope in coming week

Thanks to all for attending and we look forward to 2020
